frequently asked questions

  • Available pieces are always directly available here - via my own shop - and you can always place a personal order or request via info@studioanastasiabenko.com Beautifully curated special editions are available at the ZEIT SHOP. • Yes. Over the past 10 years I have offered many prints, especially of my fine art photography or drawings. Please go to The Poster Club for more prints and illustrations. You can always circle back and ask for a custom made print. A capsule collection of fine art prints will be launched soon.

  • The paintings in the online shop are sold as seen. Depending on the look you are going for, you can inquire a commissioned piece. The canvas is off-white and the blonde wooden frame adds up to the soft character of the paintings. A white or black frame, for example, changes the look and creates a bold impression rich in contrast.

  • To create the vibrant effect the paintings require many many layers of pigments and water. Sometimes up to 80 layers of pigments. Due to the wet-on-wet technique and the long drying period in-between the layers it can take up to a couple of months to finish one painting.

  • Mostly I work with acrylics, ink, spray paint, vinyl paint, linoleum paint, chalk and canvas, sometimes antique linen.

  • The Sorbet series demands a special, unprimed canvas with a raw, matte texture. The fabric is off-white and sprinkled with tiny dark beige spots you can see on the enlarged product photos. Those add up to the depth and characteristic of the paintings.

  • Yes. Serie like the Sorbet Deconstructed or Etudes are available in very large formats. The Sorbet series demands a special canvas which is only available up to 1 x 1m at the moment. Large scales like 80x80cm and 1x1m is highly limited and only available for commissioned works.

I work on various large scale paintings on antique linen at the moment and they will be published very soon.

  • The Sorbet series was originally created with neon pigments in yellow, neon green, neon red, neon pink, neon orange and apricot. Each apricot series - contrary to all other series, where only one of the colors is used - is different because for the apricot series I mix oranges, reds and pinks.

  • All Sorbet paintings are unique and dry differently. But due to the complex wet-on-wet technique I place multiple canvasses next to each other to create a series. If your favorite color or size has already been sold, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, as sometimes there are still paintings from the same series drying in the studio. im here to help: info@studioanastasiabenko.com
